Celia Weiqing Chen is a freelance theater-maker and lighting designer. She serves as a co-producer of PAN Shanghai, a cross-cultural arts organization supporting emerging independent artists. Past design credits include: Hamlet, Princesa de Dinamarca (Shakespeare Repertory Project, 2024), My Six Therapists (Theatre Mu x Yale Cabaret, 2024), 21 Miss Duli’s (Goethe-Institut Beijing, 2023), The Dark (Shanghai International Dance Center, 2022), Family History (In the Flesh Studio, 2022). Celia was the 2018 Lighting Design Fellow at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and is currently pursuing an MFA from the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale.
